A country inn with a French accent
The lobby sets the tone: a fireplace, carved settees and a stained-glass lamp. The rooms carry it on with damask wallpaper, floral valances and antique-style furniture, and each room type has a look of its own.
We are independently owned, not part of a chain, and we are a short walk from nearly everything in the village.

Two blocks from Ocean Avenue
The inn is on the corner of 5th Avenue and Junipero Street. Downtown Carmel's shops, galleries and restaurants start a 3-minute walk away, and Carmel Beach is 10 minutes on foot down Ocean Avenue.
Park once and walk. Our lot is first come, first served; when it is full, guests park on the street nearby.

Good to know before you book
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need to arrive early or leave late, ask the front desk ahead of time and we will try to arrange it.
Is there parking?
Yes. We have a parking lot at the inn, first come, first served. It does not fit every car, so when it is full guests park on the street nearby.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
No. Carmel stays cool by the ocean, and every room has a ceiling fan and an electric wall heater.
Is there an elevator?
No. The inn has two floors reached by outdoor stairs. If you would like a ground-floor room, tell us when you book and we will do our best.
Are pets allowed?
We are not a pet-friendly property. Service animals are always welcome.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Standard reservations are fully refundable until 3:00 PM, seven days before arrival, unless your confirmation says otherwise. Prepaid advance bookings follow the terms shown when you book.
